RFP’s Classic Sanded Plywood: Roseburg Forest Products Classic Sanded Plywood is manufactured to meet the requirements of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Voluntary Product Standard for Construction and Industrial Plywood, or PS 1-95.  These requirements specify the manufacturing and workmanship standards for principal types and grades of softwood plywood including veneer species, veneer grades, glue bonds, plywood dimensions, moisture content, and packaging  All plywood is inspected and certified by APA, a nationally and internationally recognized and accepted testing organization.

Flame Spread Rating

According to APA sponsored tests the flame spread rating is between 76-200, well within the Class III (C) flame spread maximum of 200.

Glue Bond Testing

 APA performs routine vacuum pressure tests on Classic Sanded plywood.  R.F.P.’s Sanded plywood meets or exceeds all testing requirements.

Thickness Tolerances

Panels ¾” thick and less have a tolerance of +/- .0156”. Panels thicker than ¾” have a tolerance of +/- 3.0% depending on the specified thickness. 

Shear Values

R.F.P.’s Classic Sanded plywood meets allowable shear values for wind and seismic forces according to the 1997 UBC.
